Internships & Mentorships
OLH Internship Program
Get one on one clinical experience by shadowing a Clinical Herbalist. Internships take place in 3 phases:
Phase 1 Observation
Learn how to conduct an appointment by watching. Take notes and ask questions about cases.
Phase 2 Practice
See clients alongside a Clinical Herbalist. Interview clients and create custom formulas under supervision.
Phase 3 Business
Create a business and see clients with minimal supervision. Establish an LLC and get liability insurance to begin building a career.
The timeframe for each phase will be tailored to each individual’s needs. Currently this program runs on a one day a week interval. Spots are limited and this is an in-person program only. There is no fee for any of the phases. During phase 1 and 2 the intern will not be paid. In phase 3, after one’s business is properly established, the intern will receive all appointment fees for the clients they see.

OLH Mentorship Program
This can be either an in-person or remote educational opportunity. Get one-on-one time with a Clinical Herbalist to ask questions, discuss cases, learn about special topics, etc. The content can be tailored to whatever the individual wants to get out of their time. This mentorship is intended as a continuing education program, not a beginner’s course in herbalism. All participants are required to have completed an introductory course in herbalism or have sufficiently educated themselves through other means.
Mentorship fees are at the current hourly rate of the Clinical Herbalist (now $35/hr). Time slots are booked according to availability. There is no limit to the number of days or hours that an individual can book in a month.
